Job Title: Shelling Mechanic

Location: Ibafo, Ogun

Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shelling Mechanic to join our operations team in Ibafo.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of shelling machines and related equipment within our production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair shelling machines and associated mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance of machinery.
• Ensure machines are operating efficiently and meet production targets.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Adhere to safety standards and operational procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND / Trade Test certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–7 years’ experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Hands-on experience with shelling or similar processing machines will be an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
