Job Title: Head Accountant

Location: Katampe District, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, internal controls, and statutory compliance.
• The successful candidate will provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth, maintain financial integrity, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws, and statutory regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Prepare and file statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and Company Income Tax.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial risk management processes.
• Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Supervise finance staff and ensure effective financial operations.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.

Requirements
Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree or MBA is an added advantage.

Professional Certifications:

• Mandatory: ICAN or ACCA.
• Additional certifications in Finance, Taxation, Risk Management, or IFRS are an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.

Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 / Month.
