We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Loan Executive (SME, Corporate & Asset Financing)

Locations: Lagos and Ogun

Job Summary

  • As part of our expansion, we are seeking experienced, highly motivated, and results-driven professionals to join our Business Development and Credit team.
  • The Senior Loan Executive (SME, Corporate & Asset Financing) will be responsible for driving business growth through the acquisition of quality loan, investment, and deposit customers while maintaining a healthy loan portfolio.
  • The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, evaluate credit requests, structure financing solutions, manage customer relationships, and ensure compliance with the Bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard individual, SME, and corporate customers to grow the Bank's loan, investment, and deposit portfolio.
  • Market and promote the Bank's financial products, including SME Loans, Corporate Loans, Asset Financing, Salary Loans, Working Capital Loans, Investment Products, and Deposit Mobilization solutions.
  • Conduct customer assessments, evaluate loan applications, and prepare quality credit appraisal reports in line with the Bank's Credit Policy.
  • Structure loan facilities and collaborate with Credit Risk, Operations, and Compliance teams to facilitate timely loan approvals and disbursements.
  • Monitor loan utilization, repayment performance, and proactively manage delinquent accounts to minimize Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to cross-sell the Bank's products and services.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, loan documentation, and transaction updates using the Bank's Core Banking System.
  • Achieve assigned business targets for loan disbursement, deposit mobilization, investment growth, customer acquisition, and portfolio quality.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly and annual loan disbursement targets.
  • Achievement of deposit mobilization and investment growth targets.
  • Growth and quality of the SME and Corporate loan portfolio.
  • Maintenance of acceptable Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and NonPerforming Loan (NPL) ratios.
  • Customer acquisition, retention, and cross-selling performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or any related discipline.
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in Business Development, Credit Marketing, Loan Sales, or Relationship Management within a Microfinance Bank, Commercial Bank, Finance Company, or similar financial institution.
  • Proven experience in SME Lending, Corporate Lending, Asset Financing, Salary Loans, or Deposit Mobilization.
  • Strong knowledge of credit appraisal, financial analysis, loan structuring, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent business development, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with the ability to consistently meet performance targets.
