Demand and Market Linkage Lead at FMProduce

FMProduce is a Nigerian digital market linkage platform connecting smallholder farmers, aggregators, and cooperatives with verified buyers including restaurants, processors, exporters and institutional purhcasers across all 36 states and the FCT. We are an early-stage startup at a critical growth phase, and we are building a small team of deeply committed, field-credible operator who understand Nigerian agriculture.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Demand and Market Linkage Lead

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Buyer onboarding - Commercial buyers:

• Identify and approach buyers actively sourcing agricultural produce in Kano: restaurants, food vendors, catering companies, hotels and bulk retail trader
• Register each buyer on the platform
• Track buyers through the pipeline: identified – contacted – first engagement – registered – first purchase – repeat buyer.

Processor and manufacturer onboarding:

• Target agro-processors who buy in bulk and need consistent, quality raw material supply
• Understand and document the specifications processors need from suppliers
• Build relationships with procurement manager level

Buyer lead generation:

• Proactively generate buyer leads through WhatsApp targeted at food business owners, referrals from existing registered buyers and partnerships with food business associations.
• Log every lead in the operations system
• Maintain a weekly pipeline review.

Buyer - Seller Matching:

• When a buyer has a verified need and a seller has a matching listing, proactively facilitate the introduction through the FMProduce platform
• For each match, identify the buyer, identify the most suitable seller or listing and initiate the connection.
• Record every match and follow-up on proposed matches within 48 hours
• Track declined matched and document why

Experience and Skills

• 2-3 years in the B2B sales, trade marketing, or supply chain roles in the agriculture sector.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with basic spreadsheets, digital forms and a platform operation app.
• Understanding of agricultural commodity pricing and seasonality.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 monthly.
