Supply & Field Operations Lead at FMProduce

FMProduce is a Nigerian digital market linkage platform connecting smallholder farmers, aggregators, and cooperatives with verified buyers including restaurants, processors, exporters and institutional purhcasers across all 36 states and the FCT. We are an early-stage startup at a critical growth phase, and we are building a small team of deeply committed, field-credible operator who understand Nigerian agriculture.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Supply & Field Operations Lead

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Farmer and aggregator onboarding:

• Identify and approach smallholder farmers, farmer groups and licensed aggregators in Kano State.
• Conduct initial outreach in person, attend market days, visit farms and engage with community and cooperative leaders.
• Register each farmer or aggregator on the platform

Seller verification:

• Conduct physical farm visits to authenticate produce quality and farm location before any seller is verified
• Complete the verification checklist for each seller
• Photograph farm, produce and seller during verification visits

Farmer network and cooperative engagement:

• Map existing cooperative and farmer association structures in the coverage location.
• Engage with cooperative leadership to build institutional partnerships
• Document and submit weekly report

Essential experience and skills

• Minimum 2 years working in Nigerian agriculture, extension service, agri-NGO fieldwork, input distribution or agribusiness operations
• Comfortable navigating rural terrain
• Basic smartphone literacy
• Strong record-keeping discipline
• Fluency in Hausa language

Salary
N120,000 - N170,000 monthly.
