We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Laboratory Assistant

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Purpose

  • To support the Quality Control function by conducting laboratory analysis from raw materials to finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • The role also provides technical support to ensure efficient laboratory operations while maintaining strict adherence to safety procedures.

The Job 

  • Conduct laboratory analysis from raw material intake to finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, analyse results, and accurately document findings.
  • Follow established procedures, policies, and health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and proper organization of laboratory equipment and workspace.
  • Collect, classify, label, and prepare samples for testing and research.
  • Ensure proper handling and safe disposal of laboratory waste. Keep laboratory equipment in good working condition and report any faults.
  • Document all test results and report findings to management.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, laboratory techniques, and best practices.

Qualification

  • O'Level certificate with five (5) credits including Mathematics and English Language.
  • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) in a related discipline.

​Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant laboratory experience (preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment).

The Person Must​:

  • Be proactive and willing to learn new techniques and processes.
  • Have good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Be physically able to work in a laboratory environment with exposure to noise and chemicals.
  • Show strong awareness of food safety standards and practices.
