Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

• We are hiring a Procurement Officer with proven FMCG experience to manage sourcing, vendor relationships, and purchasing for our operations in Abuja.
• The ideal candidate understands fast-moving consumer goods supply chains, cost control, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Purchasing:

• Identify and source FMCG products, packaging, and materials at the best cost and quality
• Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up with suppliers to meet deadlines
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with FMCG suppliers and distributors
• Evaluate vendor performance on price, quality, and delivery
• Onboard new vendors and ensure compliance with company standards.

Inventory & Compliance:

• Work with warehouse/stores to forecast demand and avoid stockouts or overstock
• Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and procurement procedures
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotations, and vendor documents.

Cost Control:

• Monitor market trends and price movements for FMCG items
• Suggest cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
• Prepare regular procurement reports for management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related fields
• 2 - 3 years procurement experience in an FMCG company.
• Must have vendor network in Abuja
• Strong negotiation skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Excel. Experience with procurement software/ERP is an advantage
• Proactive, organized, and able to work under tight timelines.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
