Job Title: Executive Director, Asset and Field Development

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Managing Director/CEO
Department: Asset & Field Development

Role Purpose 

  • A seasoned and highly experienced Petroleum Engineer is required to lead the organization's Asset and Field Development function, overseeing the full lifecycle of field development planning, reservoir management, and production optimization across all company assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical and strategic direction of field development planning across all oil and gas assets
  • Oversee reservoir management, well planning, production optimization, and enhanced recovery strategies
  • Evaluate and prioritize capital projects related to asset development, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives
  • Provide technical leadership on drilling programmes, well interventions, and facility upgrades
  • Interface with joint venture partners, regulators (DPR/NUPRC), and technical service providers on asset matters
  • Drive value maximization from existing assets while identifying opportunities for new field development and acquisitions
  • Ensure integrity, safety, and environmental compliance across all field operations
  • Build and mentor a strong technical team of engineers and asset managers
  • Report periodically to the Board/Management on asset performance, production forecasts, and development milestones

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Sc / M.Sc Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years' progressive experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing field/asset development
  • Strong track record in reservoir engineering, field development planning, and production management
  • Deep understanding of Nigerian upstream regulatory framework and industry practices
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary technical teams and large-scale capital projects
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
