About the job

  • We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. The deal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, analysis, and execution of HVAC design engineering activities for offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities while ensuring compliance with client’s specifications, international standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HVAC engineering during FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
  • Design HVAC systems for control rooms, electrical rooms, substations, analyzer shelters, utility/process buildings, and living quarters.
  • Perform HVAC load calculations and hazardous area ventilation design.
  • Prepare HVAC design basis, calculations, datasheets, layouts, duct routing drawings, MRs, TBEs, MTOs, and installation details.
  • Select HVAC equipment including AHUs, chillers, package units, split units, exhaust fans, and pressurization systems.
  • Review vendor documents and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Review 3D models using AVEVA E3D or Smart 3D or ralevent software
  • Support construction, FAT, commissioning, and technical queries.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, AMCA, NFPA, ASME, API, ISO, and client’s standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial HVAC design experience.
  • Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design and oil & gas industry standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D, Smart 3D, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Revit MEP, Carrier HAP or TRACE 3D Plus preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
