Job Title: Group General Manager, Business Development, Planning & Strategy

Role Purpose
- A dynamic and target-driven Business Development professional is required to lead the organization's growth agenda — identifying, evaluating, and securing new business opportunities while shaping the company's long-term strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of new business opportunities, partnerships, and investments across the oil and gas value chain.
- Develop and drive the organization's corporate strategy, growth plans, and market expansion initiatives.
- Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead commercial negotiations for new ventures, farm-ins/farm-outs, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.
- Develop the corporate business plan and monitor performance against strategic objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, investors, financiers, and industry stakeholders.
- Provide strategic input on portfolio optimization and capital allocation.
- Present business development proposals and strategic recommendations to the Board / Management.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Sc / HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 12 – 15 years' experience in business development or corporate strategy, with substantial exposure to the oil and gas industry.
- A background in petroleum engineering or related technical discipline is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in deal origination, negotiation, and closing of commercial transactions.
- Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly target-driven with a track record of delivering measurable business growth.
Salary
N3,000,000 - N5,000,000 / month (negotiable).
