Job Title: Accountant

Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Accountant to oversee the clinic's financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial planning, and forecasting.
• Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions and remittances are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor cash flow and support effective financial management across the clinic.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and financial regulations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records and transactions.
• Collaborate with management to improve financial processes, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of financial information and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2 - 5 years experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, tax regulations, payroll administration, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
