Role Description

• The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.
• In this position, the engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and mobile applications, ensuring software quality across releases.
• Day-to-day tasks include creating and executing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to improve overall software reliability.
• The engineer will also participate in code reviews from a quality perspective, contribute to test planning and strategy, and help refine QA processes and standards within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, with a focus on ensuring reliability, performance, and usability.
• Candidates should possess skills in designing, documenting, and maintaining Test Cases that cover functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Candidates should possess Manual Testing experience, including detailed defect reporting, test execution, and validation across different environments.
• Candidates should possess QA Automation skills, including building and maintaining automated test suites using modern frameworks and tools.
• Experience with common testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or similar) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Banking or fintech experience is a plus.
