Job Title: Technical Service Engineer (Cabin and Ife)
Location: Lagos
Role Description
- To ensure that aircraft are compliant with all required airworthiness regulations at an acceptable level of reliability and are maintained to support Air Peace Ltd operational requirements.
- The Technical Services Engineer — Cabin & IFE main responsibility is to handle problems and issues related to aircraft cabin interior and related systems as per assigned ATA Chapters* (11, 23, 44, 25, 35, 38 & 52). He/she must ensure that all related systems under his responsibility are complied with the latest applicable standards.
- Note that related systems may mean the Full ATA or part of it as some ATA may be shared between the System engineers and the Cabin and IFE engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Continuous Airworthiness:
- Monitor and evaluate mandatory Airworthiness Directives and review
- Service Bulletins modifications in his/her respective ATA Chapters.
- Evaluate and embody other manufacturers' Technical Documentation in his/her respective ATA Chapters such as Service Letters, FTD, SIL, SNL,
- MOM, CN, Advice Notes, Leaflets, amendments to maintenance manuals etc.
- Prepare, coordinate and present Engineering Orders, Modifications,
- Engineering Drawings based on OEM data and review them before their embodiment.
- Review and evaluate monthly reliability reports and find solutions to problems related to Cabin & IFE components or systems that exceed alert levels.
- Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, retrofit modifications, and companyoriginated engineering change requests.
- Initiate modifications to improve performance and reliability and reduce costs of maintenance without compromising airworthiness standards.
Technical Support:
- Assist Maintenance in the resolution of cabin defects and other technical issues. e.g. AOG support and clarification of technical data, etc.
- Maintain communications with OEMs, MROs, Vendors and other internal departments by providing liaison role between them and maintenance on
- system problems or technical projects as required from time to time.
- Assist in developing, defining and maintaining Air Peace Ltd cabin standards. The cabin standard will describe both the appearance and maintenance levels within the cabin.
- Assist in developing, defining and maintaining the Cabin Maintenance
- Program, MEL (cabin sections) and NEF deferral list under the authority's guidelines and Air Peace specific maintenance requirements.
- Participate in the Technical aspects of major projects such as the purchase of new equipment, new aircraft, major modifications, and the use of major maintenance contractors.
- Evaluate maintenance agreements with thirdparty organizations.
- Prepare product specifications and work with the Engineering
- Procurement department in preparing requests for information, requests for proposals and purchase agreement documents for the selection of new Cabin and IFE components or systems.
- Evaluate related maintenance agreements for interiors equipment.
- Manage content uploads (bimonthly/quarterly) for serverbased IFE systems.
- Manage software upgrades and configuration on IFE systems.
- Perform other departmental duties related to the position as directed by the Manager Technical Services Engineering or Head of CAMO.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, cabin standards and airline quality systems & policies regarding aircraft operations, maintenance and parts reliability.
- Evaluate technical specifications of new or used aircraft and equipment for possible induction into Air Peace fleet.
- Define the layout and specifications to satisfy Air Peace and other regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and coordinate with vendors so that chosen Cabin & IFE products are costeffective, reliable and meet the company's & authorities' requirements.
- Initiates purchase of chosen product. Develop, approve and manage
- cabin reconfigurations and LOPA changes to ensure compliance with the regulatory authority
Compliance and Documentation:
- Attend Reliability meetings, monitoring and analyzing reliability reports.
- Contribute to the evaluation and effectiveness of the Cabin Maintenance Program.
- Closure of occurrence reports and audit findings assigned.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify root causes and provide corrective actions to improve cabin appearance and passenger comfort.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations within the Technical
- Services Engineering environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the
- Technical Services Engineering department.
- Participate in safety drills, HSE training programs, and initiatives to
- maintain a safe working environment and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety practices.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist Safety Department in Technical assessments as a part of Investigations as and when required.
Support and Coordination:
- Provide training, guidance and development of junior Technical Services
- Engineering personnel as required.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on Cabin & IFE systems improvement.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Aeronautic Engineering field or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in CAMO area, specifically in (Cabin / IFE) (Technical Services/Development/ Systems) engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, and familiarity with aviation regulations.
- Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail, problemsolving ability, excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- The position is based in the CAMO department.
- Standard work hours with occasional requirements to work during peak periods or AOG situations and Minimal travel required.

Reliability:
- Improve Aircraft Cabin & IFE Reliability
- Reliability studies for major Cabin & IFE issues 3 Reliability Review
- Engineering Comments, 1 Engineering Reports (ER) per quarter.
- Review of quarterly Customer Survey Report and come up with solutions.
- Actively engaging in respective fleet teams calls with Cabin & IFE
- vendors as applicable
- Ontime evaluations:
- Ontime evaluation and compliance of SBs, ADS, and other nonscheduled task requirements.
- Ontime part identification and advice for all EOs/WO.
- Provide clear and concise Engineering Orders(EO) and Work Orders(WO)
- Configuration Management for all IFE systems and softwares.
- Projects execution and assignments handling per plan.
Ontime evaluations:
- Work towards internal customers' requirements and fulfilling targets.
- Avail maintenance recommendations to resolve the Cabin & IFE defects for the aircraft within 4 hours.
- Ontime addressing of customer sensitive action items or assignments (Seat, Galley, Lavatory, Galley Equipment, etc.)
- Regulatory Compliance Rate: Achieve 100% compliance with regulatory and internal standards for Aircraft operations and ensuring all documentations are properly filed/archived.
- NonConformance: Reducing the number of nonconformances from quality audits (Both internal and external) as assigned
- Safety consciousness in all activities
- 95% closure of all nonconformances in the allotted time.
- Zero penalty, sanction from the Authority due to ineffective maintenance, records, deviation from approved procedures and compliance issues.
- Safety and HSE Compliance: Zero accidents and incidents of safety violations or hazardous material mishandling within the technical stores,
- and ensure 100% compliance with HSE policies and participation in safety initiatives.
- Audit Results: Achieve no major findings in internal or external audits related to inventory management, compliance, or safety. Zero audit findings of level 1.
