Job Summary

• The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Solar Home Systems (SHS) at residential and commercial locations.
• The role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission Solar Home System (SHS) components, including solar panels, batteries, wiring, DC appliances, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot system faults and escalate technical issues where necessary.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company installation standards.
• Educate customers on the proper use and basic maintenance of installed systems.
• Prepare installation reports and document completed jobs.
• Communicate field updates to supervisors and team leads.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of tools and materials.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an OND, HND, or Technical Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant electrical installation certification (Trade Test, NABTEB, or equivalent).
• 1–3 years' experience installing Solar Home Systems (SHS) or off-grid solar solutions.
• Good knowledge of DC wiring, PV modules, batteries, charge controllers, inverters, and related equipment.
• Applicants must reside within or around job locations 

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong practical knowledge of solar installation and safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and installation manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in rural and off-grid communities.
• Good time management skills with the ability to meet installation targets.
