Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven finance manager to join our finance team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for management accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, billing and credit control, while providing strategic financial support to business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Management Accounting:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports for senior management.
  • Analyse financial performance and variances, providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Prepare cash flow statements, income and expenditure reports, and tax-related schedules.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain costing models to improve financial decision-making.
  • Conduct financial analysis and research to support organizational objectives.
  • Implement and monitor performance measures across the business.

Billing & Credit Control:

  • Oversee the collection, processing, and submission of waybills and invoices to clients.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of outstanding waybills and unpaid invoices.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and drive debt recovery activities.
  • Supervise fixed asset accounting and ensure assets are properly recorded and tracked.
  • Monitor receipt postings within the accounting system (NAVISION).
  • Ensure prompt collection and banking of payments and cheques.
  • Review and approve expense claims and payment vouchers.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the management accounts, billing, and credit control team.
  • Drive performance management and continuous development of direct reports.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is required.
  • 6 – 8 years' relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
  • Experience in accounts receivable management, billing, credit control, and debt recovery.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Customer-focused with a strong drive for results.
