We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tax Accountant

Location: Surelere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • The Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, statutory filings, payroll administration, tax reconciliations, and providing support during tax audits.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACA, certification (or in view) is an added advantage.
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in taxation and accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet statutory deadlines.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, including CIT, VAT, PAYE, WHT, CGT, and Stamp Duties.
  • Excellent tax reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of the Nigerian payroll system and statutory deductions (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF, and ITF).
  • Hands-on experience filing statutory tax returns through Rev360 and State Internal Revenue Service portals.
  • Ability to prepare and respond to tax correspondence, including assessments, audit notices, and demand notices.
  • Sound knowledge of Nigerian tax audit procedures and experience supporting tax audits and investigations.

Salary
N250,000 - N280,000 per month.
