Job Title: Store Officer

Locations: Omole, Amuwo - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Store Officer to oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and control of inventory within the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure that stock is properly managed, inventory records are accurate, and materials are readily available to support business operations while minimizing losses and maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of inventory to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
  • Issue materials and products to authorized personnel while maintaining accurate records of all stock movements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual and computerized inventory management systems.
  • Conduct routine stock counts and periodic inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the appropriate department when inventory reaches reorder levels.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions, including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Store Requisition Forms (SRFs), and stock transfer records.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the store environment in line with company standards.
  • Safeguard inventory against damage, theft, and unauthorized access.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and other departments to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Assist in investigating stock variances and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and health and safety regulations.
  • Support periodic asset verification and fixed asset management activities where applicable.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Store Supervisor or Management.

Key Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in inventory management, storekeeping, or warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and stock management procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong numerical, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong integrity, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory items where required.
