We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Corporate Services, Engineering Business Development, Communications and Stakeholders Management

Location: Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Communications & Brand Leadership:

  • Lead SCSP’s corporate communications strategy and brand positioning.
  • Translate technical engineering outputs (reports, audits, inspections, safety studies) into clear, client-friendly communication.
  • Develop case studies, technical narratives, success stories, press releases, and thought leadership content.
  • Strengthen SCSP’s visibility as a leading authority in Fire & Life Safety, Risk Management, and Loss Prevention.
  • Ensure consistency of brand messaging across all platforms and engagements.
  • Manage corporate reputation, public perception, and executive visibility.

Business Development & Revenue Growth:

  • Drive strategic business development initiatives across key sectors:
    • Oil & Gas
    • Construction & Real Estate
    • Power & Utilities
    • Healthcare
    • Manufacturing
    • Financial Institutions
    • Government & Infrastructure.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets.
  • Support proposal development, bid submissions, and technical-commercial presentations.
  • Convert leads into long-term business relationships and contracts.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Support contract negotiation and client acquisition strategies.

Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Growth:

  • Develop strategic partnerships with architects, EPC contractors, developers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities that enhance SCSP’s service delivery and market reach.
  • Represent SCSP in industry forums, conferences, exhibitions, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Strengthen institutional relationships with professional bodies and regulatory agencies.

Corporate Services Leadership:

  • Oversee corporate service functions including communications, branding, business development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Align corporate services strategy with SCSP’s overall business objectives.
  • Develop internal communication systems to support technical and operational teams.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between engineering, marketing, and business development functions.

Event Management & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Plan and execute corporate events, technical seminars, workshops, and industry exhibitions.
  • Coordinate client engagement sessions, regulatory meetings, and professional networking events.
  • Develop event strategies that enhance SCSP visibility and client engagement.
  • Manage logistics, documentation, and post-event reporting.

Technical Communication & Documentation:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to simplify and communicate complex technical outputs.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in all technical communication materials.
  • Maintain structured documentation of project achievements, reports, and corporate milestones.
  • Develop executive summaries and client-facing reports.

Media, PR & External Relations:

  • Manage media relations and external communications.
  • Coordinate press releases, publications, and industry features.
  • Maintain relationships with media, regulators, and professional institutions.
  • Monitor and manage corporate reputation and public engagement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue contribution from business development activities.
  • Number of new clients and partnerships secured.
  • Brand visibility and corporate reputation growth.
  • Proposal success rate.
  • Quality and reach of corporate communications.
  • Event effectiveness and stakeholder engagement outcomes.
  • Market expansion and sector penetration.

Requirements
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in Corporate Communication, PR, Marketing, or Business Development is an added advantage.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies is desirable.

Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Business Development, Marketing, or Strategic Partnerships.
  • Experience in engineering, construction, safety, oil & gas, or technical consultancy environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in managing corporate reputation, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in event management, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication.
