Job Title: Head, Finance
Location: Abuja
About the Role
- Lead the finance function, ensuring sound financial management, accurate reporting, strong controls and compliance to support the facility’s financial health and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations at the facility, including billing, revenue, payments and cash management.
- Prepare and review periodic financial statements and management reports.
- Manage the facility’s budgeting and forecasting process; monitor performance against budget and explain variances.
- Ensure robust internal controls, financial policies and segregation of duties are in place and adhered to.
- Oversee revenue‑cycle management, including patient billing, claims and reconciliations with payers and HMOs.
- Manage payables, receivables and treasury at facility level.
- Ensure statutory and tax compliance (VAT, WHT, PAYE, pension) and support audits.
- Supervise and develop the Account Officer.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to support facility management decisions.
- Liaise with Head Office finance functions on consolidation and governance.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field, plus completion of NYSC or a valid exemption where applicable.
Experience:
- 6 - 8 years’ finance/accounting experience at a senior level, including leading a finance function, financial reporting and controls, audit, budgeting and treasury.
