Job Title: Financial Control Officer

Location: Abuja

About the Role

  • Support financial control and governance across the group, maintaining and monitoring internal controls, ensuring compliance and safeguarding the organisation’s financial integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor internal financial controls and accounting policies.
  • Oversee the integrity of the general ledger and the month‑end and year‑end close processes.
  • Review reconciliations, journals and financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax laws and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and drive closure of audit findings.
  • Monitor cash flow, treasury, banking relationships and financial risk.
  • Review and strengthen controls over revenue, procurement, payroll and expenditure.
  • Support governance, risk and compliance reporting to the MD’s office.
  • Promote a strong control and compliance culture across finance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus completion of NYSC or a valid exemption where applicable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7–9 years in financial control, internal audit or accounting, including maintaining controls and supporting audit and compliance.
