Job Title: Budget & Financial Reporting Officer
Location: Abuja
About the Role
- The Budget & Financial Reporting Officer will support the organisation’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, providing accurate and timely information to assist executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process across departments and facilities.
- Consolidate budgets and prepare the organisation-wide budget for management approval.
- Prepare timely, accurate management and financial reports, including variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain reporting templates, dashboards and financial models.
- Monitor performance against budget and provide insight on drivers and corrective actions.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Support liquidity, cost-management and profitability analysis.
- Liaise with auditors and support audit and regulatory reporting.
- Continuously improve reporting processes and controls.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field, plus completion of NYSC or a valid exemption where applicable.
Experience:
- 6–8 years in budgeting, FP&A or financial reporting, including preparing reports and analysing variances.
- Experience in a hospital, healthcare or institutional finance environment is an advantage.
