We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chef

Location: Irepotuntun Market, Bonke Area, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Chef will beresponsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.
  • The Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure customer satisfaction through excellent food quality, minimize wastage, and contribute to the profitability of the Kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Quality:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all meals.
  • Monitor food quality before it is served to customers.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Organize and coordinate daily kitchen activities.
  • Supervise food storage and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Maintain accurate records of food production and kitchen inventory.

Food Safety & Hygiene:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Properly store raw materials and cooked food to prevent contamination and spoilage.

Inventory & Cost Control:

  • Monitor ingredient usage and reduce food wastage.
  • Ensure efficient use of ingredients to control food costs.

Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with kitchen assistants and restaurant staff.
  • Maintain professionalism and positive communication within the team.

Requirements
Education:

  • Minimum of SSCE / OND or equivalent.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or catering establishment.
  • Experience preparing a wide range of Nigerian dishes is required.

Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 / month.
