Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Associate - Audit & Assurance to join our growing professional services team in Ilupeju, Lagos.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and supervising audit engagements while providing high-quality assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute audit and assurance engagements in accordance with applicable auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
- Plan audit assignments, assess risks, and develop audit strategies and work programs.
- Review financial statements and supporting schedules for compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, coach, and review the work of junior audit team members.
- Evaluate internal control systems and provide recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation.
- Identify audit findings and prepare comprehensive management letters and audit reports.
- Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information and ensure timely completion of audit engagements.
- Assist clients with accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Participate in special assignments, investigations, due diligence reviews, and other assurance-related engagements.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
- B.Sc. Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACTI, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in audit and assurance, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other audit/accounting software applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
