Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary

• The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
• The role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, washing kitchen utensils and equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring the kitchen is always ready for efficient food production.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients as directed by the Chef or Cook.
• Assist with the preparation of meals and other food items.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment promptly after use.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, floors, refrigerators, and other kitchen spaces.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and free from hazards at all times.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Basic training in food handling or catering is an added advantage.

Salary
N25,000 - N30,000 per month.
