Job Description

• The Pharmacy Technician will supportthe Pharmacist in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy by assisting with medication dispensing, inventory management, prescription processing, customer service, and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.
• The role requires adherence to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
• Accurately select, count, label, package, and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Ensure prescription information is correctly entered into the pharmacy management system.
• Refer prescription-related clinical questions to the Pharmacist.
• Receive, inspect, and store pharmaceutical products appropriately.
• Monitor stock levels and notify the Pharmacist of low-stock items.
• Check expiry dates regularly and remove expired or damaged medicines from stock.
• Participate in stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure medicines are stored under the appropriate conditions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician or a related pharmaceutical programme from a recognized institution with 1-5 years experience.
• Registration with the appropriate regulatory body (where required by law).
• Valid practising licence (where applicable).

Salary
N50,000 - N70,000 / Month.
