Role Summary
- A leading indigenous oil and gas company is seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across its upstream operations.
- The successful candidate will drive business growth, operational excellence, client satisfaction, and profitability while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's operational and commercial activities across upstream oil and gas operations.
- Drive business development initiatives and strengthen relationships with IOCs, NOCs, and key industry stakeholders.
- Oversee EPCIC projects, production support, well services, maintenance, fabrication, logistics, and related operations.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Develop and implement business strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, cost control, financial performance, and resource optimization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, governance, and HSE requirements.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; MBA or Master's Degree is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as PMP / PRINCE2, COREN/NSE, and relevant HSE certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong experience managing EPCIC projects, well services, production support, fabrication, and related upstream operations.
- Proven track record in business development, contract negotiation, and managing relationships with major industry stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, financial management, negotiation, and communication skills.
