Job Title: Logistics / Warehouse Officer
Locations: Kano and Lagos
Job Summary
- The Logistics/Warehouse Officer will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and inventory control of goods while ensuring warehouse efficiency and seamless logistics operations.
- The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper stock handling, timely deliveries, compliance with safety standards, and effective coordination between warehouse, transportation, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse.
- Monitor stock movement to prevent losses, damage, or obsolescence.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate stock variances.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and recommend replenishment.
- Plan and coordinate the timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
- Schedule deliveries and assign drivers or transport providers.
- Monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time customer deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide delivery status updates.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of all warehouse and logistics activities.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Coordinate vehicle loading and unloading.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse procedures.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report accidents, damages, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Participate in warehouse safety inspections and emergency drills.
- Recommend process improvements for inventory accuracy and operational productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Or a related discipline.
Experience
- 2 – 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, retail, FMCG, logistics, or distribution is preferred.
