We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment to maximize plant availability.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults on motors, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, and production equipment.
- Monitor electrical systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects.
- Ensure proper maintenance of power distribution systems and electrical control panels.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical installations.
- Maintain electrical drawings, maintenance records, and equipment documentation.
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Production teams to achieve uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and HSE procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering.
Experiences:
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or related organization is highly preferred.
- Steel manufacturing experience is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, transformers, and switchgear.
