Job Title: Shipping & Logistics Officer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of goods, equipment, and materials to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping, import/export, and logistics documentation.
- Liaise with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport providers.
- Monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues, and provide regular status updates.
- Maintain accurate inventory, shipping, and logistics records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant shipping, customs, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and freight coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics/inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple shipments simultaneously.
