Job Summary
- The Operations Officer is responsible for assisting in coordinating warehouse and delivery operations to ensure the timely receipt, storage, quality inspection, and distribution of materials.
- The role ensures accurate documentation, efficient inventory handling, and excellent customer service while supporting smooth day-to-day operational activities.
Job Description
- Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered
- Carry out packing, crating, and warehousing, and storage duties in preparation for delivery activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with client rep.
- Regularly Update logs and order forms
- Signing delivery notes upon receipt of shipments.
- Heeding notes about appropriate procedures for handling stock, particularly when fragile.
- Unpacking items and arranging these on shelves, if needed.
- Preparing our clients' orders by gathering and loading stock.
- Ensuring that the vehicle remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized for delivery at all times.
- Ensure materials/items are appropriately stored and packed for delivery.
- Handles the quality check of materials/items prior to delivery.
- Provide a list of all equipment moved from the consolidation areas into sponsor shipping channels to project coordinators.
- Promptly answer the questions of staff and other stakeholders
- Prepare and file forms and other documents.
- Analyze all delivery activities and forward suggestions for improvement to the Warehouse Logistic Officer.
Requirements / Skill / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Transportation, Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, or in a related field.
- Work experience in warehouse, logistic or supply chain management.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities that may require overtime or extended hours.
- Proximity to Lekki/Ajah is a plus.
Remuneration
N100,000 – 150,000 monthly depending on qualifications and experience.
