About the Role

• We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to building secure, scalable, and intuitive financial products.
• In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA Engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences across our customer-facing applications and internal platforms.
• You’ll be responsible for implementing new features, improving existing experiences, and maintaining frontend applications that meet the security, performance, accessibility, and reliability standards expected of a regulated financial institution.
• This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, writes clean and maintainable code, takes ownership of their work, and is passionate about building products that solve real customer problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain frontend applications supporting customer onboarding, digital lending, payments, account management, and internal operational platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA Engineers to translate business requirements into intuitive, scalable user experiences.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-tested frontend components using modern React and TypeScript practices.
• Integrate secure RESTful APIs and work closely with backend engineers to ensure reliable application behaviour.
• Ensure frontend implementations meet performance, accessibility, security, and responsiveness standards across supported browsers and devices.
• Contribute to improving frontend architecture, code quality, testing practices, and engineering standards through code reviews and technical discussions.
• Debug and resolve production issues while proactively identifying opportunities to improve application stability and performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvements in development workflows and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–6+ years of professional frontend engineering experience building production web applications.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend development principles.
• Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management (Redux Toolkit/Zustand), rendering strategies, and frontend application design.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating effectively with backend engineering teams.
• Experience writing automated tests using modern frontend testing frameworks (Jest, RTL, Cypress/Playwright) and maintaining reliable test coverage.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, debugging, monitoring, and browser developer tools.
• Deep understanding of secure coding practices for frontend applications, including authentication, authorization, data protection, and common web security vulnerabilities.
• Proven experience leveraging LLMs and AI development tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and development workflows.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments using Git-based workflows.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
