Job Title: Inventory Lead

Location: Ajah, Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing all inventory control activities to ensure the accuracy, availability, and integrity of stock records.
  • The role provides leadership to the Inventory Officer, ensures compliance with inventory management procedures, maintains optimal stock levels, and supports efficient procurement and production operations through effective inventory planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory movements to ensure all receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments are accurately captured in the inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular verification of inventory records and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of physical inventory, bin cards (both hard copy and electronic records), and system balances to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Ensure all Material Requisition Forms (MRFs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and other inventory documents are properly completed, verified, and submitted within the required timelines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise periodic stock counts and annual stock audits to ensure physical inventory aligns with recorded balances.
  • Review and validate inventory adjustments with appropriate approvals and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment by initiating restock requests before critical stock levels are reached.
  • Maintain optimum inventory levels to minimize stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete materials.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and preservation of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods in line with company standards.
  • Prepare inventory performance reports and provide management with recommendations for improving stock accuracy and inventory efficiency.
  • Maintain complete and organized inventory documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with the Procurement team to ensure timely sourcing and replenishment of inventory items.
  • Provide inventory status updates to support production planning and operational activities.
  • Ensure critical materials are always available to prevent operational disruptions.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in inventory, warehouse, or supply chain management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
