Job Title: Machine Technician (FMCG)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive Machine Technician to join our manufacturing team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement timely repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure machines operate efficiently and safely.
  • Support machine installation, commissioning, and equipment upgrades.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare daily maintenance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to workplace health and safety policies.

Requirements

  • OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years' experience as a Machine Technician in the FMCG manufacturing sector is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
  • Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and on rotational shifts where required.
