We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Midwife

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

  • We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Midwife to join our maternal and child healthcare team.
  • The successful candidate will provide high-quality antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn care while ensuring a safe and positive experience for mothers and their babies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive antenatal, labour, delivery, and postnatal care.
  • Monitor the health and wellbeing of mothers and newborns before, during, and after delivery.
  • Assist in normal vaginal deliveries and promptly identify complications requiring medical intervention.
  • Educate and counsel expectant and new mothers on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, family planning, and newborn care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure strict compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, paediatricians, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Participate in emergency obstetric care and respond promptly to maternal and neonatal emergencies.
  • Promote a culture of compassionate, patient-centred, and evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Registered Midwife (RM) with a valid practising licence issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a reputable hospital or maternity facility.
  • Sound knowledge of maternal and newborn care practices.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork, professionalism, and commitment to quality patient care.
