We are recruiting to fill the position below:

ob Summary

  • The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to the company by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, managing legal risks, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and advising management on matters relating to real estate development, construction projects, land acquisition, contracts, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on all real estate and construction transactions.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on land acquisition and property transactions.
  • Prepare and perfect title documents and liaise with relevant government agencies.
  • Represent the company in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other dispute resolution processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Advise management on employment, commercial, and corporate legal matters.
  • Manage external solicitors and legal consultants where required.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Keep the company informed of changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting its operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • LL.B and B.L. from recognized institutions.
  • Minimum of 10 years of post-call experience, with substantial experience in the real estate and construction sector.
  • Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with a valid practicing licence.
  • Strong knowledge of property law, land documentation, construction contracts, company law, and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
