We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Printer Repair & Maintenance Technician

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Printer Repair & Maintenance Technicianin diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of printers and multifunction devices.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in hardware troubleshooting, component-level repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal printer performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dismantle, assemble, and repair various printer models.
  • Diagnose hardware faults and perform root cause analysis.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on printers and multifunction devices.
  • Perform component-level repairs on printer hardware.
  • Repair and replace fuser units, printheads, rollers, drums, belts, and other critical components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair power supply units and formatter / mainboards.
  • Diagnose and resolve paper jam issues and print quality problems.
  • Maintain ink and toner delivery systems.
  • Perform printer calibration, testing, and quality checks after repairs.
  • Upgrade firmware and configure printer settings.
  • Service laser printers and multifunction printers (MFPs).
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network printers.
  • Identify and replace defective spare parts.
  • Conduct electrical and electronic circuit testing using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure timely completion of repair tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–15 years of proven experience in printer repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of laser printers, inkjet printers, and multifunction printers (MFPs).
  • Expertise in hardware troubleshooting and component-level repair.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and electronic circuit testing.
  • Proficiency in using multimeters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with firmware upgrades, printer configuration, and network printer setup.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair assignments efficiently.
