Schedule: Monday – Friday

Job Summary

  • We are looking to hire a smart, experienced, and dedicated Driver to provide safe, efficient, and timely transportation services in support of the Insurance Brokers' operations while ensuring that assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy, properly maintained, and compliant with all road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport staff, clients, and authorised visitors as assigned.
  • Drive employees to various locations for official assignments, including client visits, bank transactions, embassy visits, procurement activities, and other operational errands.
  • Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off services.
  • Plan routes effectively to minimise delays and avoid traffic congestion where possible.
  • Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and traffic laws at all times.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections before commencing duties.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles, both internally and externally.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report any faults or maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, and vehicle inspections with approved mechanics and service providers.
  • Ensure that all vehicle documentation, licences, insurance certificates, and permits remain valid and up to date.
  • Submit fuel receipts, maintenance records, service invoices, and related documentation promptly.
  • Support administrative and finance functions by delivering official documents and making authorised deposits or collections when required.
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, servicing schedules, and official trips.
  • Respond promptly to transportation-related emergencies.
  • Ensure availability of basic vehicle emergency supplies and safety equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with staff, clients, and patients.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately to the Facility Manager.
  • Uphold the clinic’s values, policies, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Always maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
  • Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence.
  • 2–3 years' experience as a corporate or executive driver.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic management.
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
  • Ability to operate and maintain vehicles safely.
  • Basic vehicle troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and understand road signs and directions.
  • Basic record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Should live on the Mainland, Ikeja, Ogba, Agege, Ketu, Ojota, Oshodi Dopemu, Iyana-Ipaja, MaryLand, and environs is an added advantage.
