Job Title: Experienced Accountant

Job Summary

• Our client is looking for a young, vibrant, and experienced Accountant to join its finance team.
• This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is confident, proactive, and ready to take ownership of key financial operations in a well-established organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial books.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Record financial transactions using double-entry accounting principles.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and support external audits.
• Perform other accounting duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
• ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress towards qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry accounting.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations.
• Good understanding of VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
