Job Title: Business Development Representative / Manager

Location: Lagos

The Role

  • We are looking for a hungry, results-driven Business Development Representative (or Manager, depending on experience) to expand our client base among Chinese-funded enterprises and large local corporations in Nigeria.
  • You will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and cold outreach to deal closure and account management.
  • This is a hunter role. We need someone who can walk into a factory, sit down with a Chinese CEO, and walk out with a signed service agreement. If you are comfortable with rejection and motivated by commission, keep reading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach, and secure new corporate clients (Chinese enterprises strongly preferred) in need of executive search, bulk hiring, and HR outsourcing services.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through cold calls, site visits, WeChat / LinkedIn outreach, and industry networking.
  • Conduct needs analysis with hiring managers and CEOs; present Runlink’s service offerings and AI-driven value proposition.
  • Negotiate service agreements and hit monthly / quarterly revenue targets.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitor activity, salary benchmarks, and talent trends in the Nigerian market.
  • Collaborate with our recruitment delivery team to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; HND accepted with a solid sales track record.
  • 2+ years of proven B2B sales or business development experience in Nigeria; experience serving Chinese clients is a strong plus.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; Mandarin Chinese (spoken) is a huge advantage—you will communicate with Chinese bosses daily.
  • Existing network or relationships with Chinese business circles in Lagos (e.g., Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone, Lekki, Ikeja) is highly preferred.
  • Self-starter, thick-skinned, and hungry to earn commission. We need doers, not talkers.
  • Must be based in Lagos or willing to relocate immediately.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: N200,000 – N250,000 / month (fixed).
  • Uncapped commission on every closed deal—top performers earn significantly above base.
