Job Title: Utility Technician

Location: Lekki Free Trade Zone - Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time
Availability: Immediate (Preferred)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Utility Technician to join the team of operators manning our the utility systems within our manufacturing facility.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in the operation and maintenance of key plant utilities such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and power generation equipment.

Key Responsibilities & Competencies

• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance activities on plant utility systems.
• Monitor the performance, availability, and efficiency of utility equipment to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance activities on plant utility systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports, including work orders and spare parts usage.
• Ensure optimal operation and basic troubleshooting of the following systems:
  • Boilers (steam generation systems)
  • Chillers (process and comfort cooling systems)
  • Air compressors (compressed air systems)
  • AHUs and HVAC systems
  • Diesel and gas generators
• Ensure proper spare parts planning and inventory control for utility systems.
• Implement safety procedures and compliance with operational standards.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and monitor utility consumption trends.
• Participate in shutdown planning and execution for utility systems.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• OND, Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in utility operations or maintenance within a manufacturing or process plant.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and practices.
• Practical understanding of industrial utility systems (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, generators).
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be willing to relocate to Ibeju-Lekki.

Salary

• Gross Salary: 400,000 Monthly.
• Net Salary: 319,000 Monthly.
