Job Title: Dentist

Job Description

  • Lily Hospitals is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused Dentist to join our clinical team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral diseases while providing high-quality dental care and promoting excellent oral health for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients to assess their oral health and diagnose dental conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
  • Perform routine and advanced dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, scaling and polishing, crowns, bridges, and other restorative procedures.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
  • Interpret dental X-rays and other diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
  • Prescribe medications when necessary and monitor patient recovery.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Education

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid practicing licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Evidence of current Annual Practising Licence.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification clinical experience in a reputable hospital or dental clinic.
  • Experience in restorative, preventive, and emergency dental care is an added advantage.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Must possess a valid practising licence.
  • Good knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
