QAQC Welding Inspector at Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria

Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria (SHIN) is a key player in Nigeria's oil and gas and maritime industries, serving as the prime African subsidiary of the global shipbuilding giant, Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) of Korea. Established in August 2011, SHIN has afabrication and integration yard in Lagos.This facility is notable as Africa's first-ever and only Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) integration yard.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: QAQC Welding Inspector

Location: Ladol, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

• Inspection & Testing
• Conduct visual inspections of welds.
• Use non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle) to detect flaws without damaging materials.

Compliance & Standards;

• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Ensure welds meet project specifications and industry codes (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API).

Required Qualification

• Valid CWI or Certified Scheme Welding Inspector (CSWIP), Levels 1, 2 or 3
• Applications without a validCSWIP will not be considered.

Salary
N900,000 - N1,300,000 per month.
