Job Title: Locum Infection Prevention Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT) , Benin - Edo, Lagos, and Port Harcourt - Rivers
Objectives
- As an Infection Prevention Officer at MSIN, your role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and infection prevention within the clinic premises.
- Your responsibilities include maintaining overall neatness, cleanliness, and proper disposal of waste, supporting the clinical team in infection prevention practices, managing medical stock, sterilizing instruments, and promoting a welcoming and professional atmosphere for clients.
- Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as a team member are crucial in carrying out these duties effectively.
- Experience in a healthcare environment and strong client interaction skills are advantageous.
- By upholding high standards of infection prevention, you contribute to the safe and quality delivery of reproductive health services at MSI.
Overall Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as Locum Infection Prevention Officershall include;
- Ensuring overall neatness and cleanliness of the entire office premises, its surroundings, client care areas and always used medical equipment.
- Encouraging a commitment to accommodate clients' special needs such as flexibility on working hours, strict privacy, and confidentiality to support demand for MSI Nigeria services.
- Ensuring proper management and disposal of both general and medical waste.
- Supporting the clinical team in providing approved services requiring infection prevention.
- Supporting, when necessary, with maintaining medical stock/drug inventory and order register
- Ensuring all clinical instruments are washed, sterilised, and stored properly in an approved manner.
- Ensuring all the clinic beddings, robes, drapes are properly washed and stored
- Running errands, including banking of daily income for the Clinic, when necessary.
- Promoting and maintaining a welcoming, friendly, professional, and efficient atmosphere towards all clients always
- Carrying out any other lawful duties assigned by the Centre Coordinator.
- Assist with administrative work within limits when necessary.
Key Qualification / Experience
- Candidate must have at least basic education to be able to read and write in English.
- Candidate should possess organisational skills, initiatives, and courtesy.
- Candidate should exhibit capacity to work as a team member.
- Experience of working in a healthcare environment would be an added advantage.
- Good exhibition of client-interaction skill
- Good written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to pay attention to barest details.
