We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Optical Laboratory Technician

Location: Akure, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Eye Clinic

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and fulfill written prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lense
• Help customers select frames that complement their face shape, lifestyle, and budget
• Order or fabricate custom lenses, adjust frames for a proper fit, and perform repairs like replacing nose pads and screws.
• Manage optical inventory, process insurance claims, handle sales transactions, and maintain customer records.
• Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists, optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head of the Clinic.

Requirements

• Certificate or Associate's Degree in Opticianry.
• Relevant professional registration/licence where applicable.
• Proficiency in using optical equipment (e.g., lensometer, pupilometer) and dispensing software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience in a hospital or eye clinic is an added advantage.
