Job Title: Compliance Officer

Reports to: Managing Director / CEO

About the Role

• Rex is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the compliance and regulatory requirements of RexBase, RexGo and, where required, RexCredit.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company's SEC licensing process and ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the SEC licensing and registration process for RexBase.
• Monitor compliance with SEC, AML/CFT and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Oversee customer KYC/KYB and AML compliance.
• Maintain regulatory filings, compliance registers and statutory records.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on compliance obligations.
• Liaise with regulators and support regulatory inspections and audits.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and staff training.
• Work with Operations, Product and Technology teams to ensure compliance is embedded in business processes.
• Provide compliance support to RexCredit as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years' relevant post-graduation experience (excluding NYSC) in compliance, risk, legal or regulatory affairs.
• Experience with an SEC-regulated Capital Market Operator, fintech, bank or other financial institution is preferred.
• Good knowledge of SEC regulations, AML/CFT and KYC requirements.
• Strong communication, analytical and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Eligible to be registered as an SEC Sponsored Individual.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting an SEC licence application.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CIS, CIBN, ICAN or related qualifications are an advantage.

Salary
N400,000 - N450,000 Monthly.
