We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Handle customer complaints, ensure accurate transactions, and support with any other customer- or cashier-related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean the checkout area prior to the start of work
• Collect, check, and sign out your cash float for the day
• Identify promotions and events for the day with the help of the Cash Supervisor
• Ensure the cash register is in good working condition
• Ensure hygiene of workplace 
• Ensure the till rolls are sufficient
• Ensure merchandising units are full & ticketed
• Customer Service – positive attitude & Smile
• Ensure all goods are scanned
• Ensure the prices are correct
• Coordinate with the manager
• Customer feedback is passed on to the manager
• Ensure sufficient change
• Follow end of day procedure
• Ensure all money collected is deposited with the strong room cashier before proceeding for break and before closure
• Have a good rapport with customers and co-employees

Skill Set / Competencies

• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills and detail-oriented
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and handle challenging work demands and tight schedules
• Able to handle many diverse tasks simultaneously and be able to work effectively
• Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Soft skills/personality: outgoing, meticulous, quick learner
• Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• High level of integrity is a must-have.
