Job Title: Training Manager
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development initiatives across our manufacturing operations.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the manufacturing industry and a proven ability to develop workforce capabilities, improve employee performance, and support organizational goals through effective training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct training needs assessments across departments and identify skill gaps.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate technical, operational, compliance, leadership, and soft skills training programs.
- Develop onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Coordinate internal and external training sessions, workshops, and certification programs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, health, safety, quality, and regulatory training requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify competency development needs and succession planning initiatives.
- Develop training manuals, learning materials, presentations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
- Manage the training budget and maintain accurate training records and reports.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and employee development across the organization.
- Support performance management initiatives through coaching and employee development programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in Learning and Development, with significant experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Professional certification in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or Training (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, ATD, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS) is an advantage.
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, operational excellence, quality management systems, and workplace safety standards.

- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and engage employees at all organizational levels.
