Job Title: Business Development Manager
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Kano

Job Summary
- Responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, managing distributors, and developing strategic business opportunities within Abuja, Kano and surrounding territories.
- The role focuses on increasing revenue, strengthening customer relationships, improving product distribution, and ensuring achievement of company sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within Ibadan and surrounding areas.
- Expand market presence and distribution network.
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis.
- Develop strategies to increase brand visibility and market share.
- Identify and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
Sales Performance & Target Achievement:
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement territory sales plans.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure continuous product availability across assigned markets.
- Drive execution of sales promotions and trade activities.
Distributor & Channel Management:
- Manage and support distributors to ensure effective product distribution.
- Monitor distributor stock levels, sales performance, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company pricing and trade policies.
- Build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners
Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and accounts.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and business agreements.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on market activities, competitor movements, and sales performance.
- Analyze market trends and recommend growth opportunities.
- Submit accurate weekly/monthly performance reports to management.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance teams.
- Support and guide field sales representatives and distributors.
- Ensure alignment with company strategies and policies.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA is an advantage.
- A professional Certificate is an added advantage.
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in FMCG sales, business development experience
- Strong negotiation and business development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and analytical ability
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Salary
N600,000 - N800,000 monthly.
