Job Title: Finance / Admin Associate

Location: Jahi, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Contract

Job Description

  • The Finance/Admin Associate will provide operational support across finance, administration, and procurement functions to ensure the efficient running of the organization.
  • The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can maintain financial records, coordinate administrative processes, manage procurement activities, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilites
Administration:

  • Support day-to-day office operations to ensure smooth organizational functioning.
  • Manage office resources, supplies, and vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, trainings, events, and organizational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal administrative policies and donor regulations.
  • Maintain organized administrative records and documentation.

Procurement:

  • Lead the procurement of goods and services.
  • Source vendors and obtain competitive quotations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation for reporting and audit purposes.

Finance and Budget Management:

  • Work closely with the Finance Officer to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process and manage receipts, invoices, and payments.
  • Monitor project and organizational budgets, tracking expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for management, donors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support the preparation of grant and program budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, tax regulations, SCUML requirements, and other statutory obligations.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with auditors and relevant regulatory agencies when required.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, ACA or equivalent) will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–4 years relevant experience in Finance, Administration, and Procurement.
  • Previous experience working with NGOs, development organizations, or donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement processes and vendor management is essential.

Required Skills
Technical Skills:

  • Financial record keeping and bookkeeping.
  • Budget monitoring and financial reporting.
  • Procurement and vendor management.
  • Administrative and office management.
  • Knowledge of donor-funded project compliance.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian statutory compliance (Tax, Pension, NHF, SCUML).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using accounting software is an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to resume within the recruitment timeline.

Remuneration

  • Salary: ₦225,000 – ₦300,000 per month.
  • Pension.
  • National Housing Fund (NHF).
  • Other applicable staff benefits upon confirmation.
