Job Title: Head of Financial Control

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Job Description

  • Are you a strategic finance leader with strong expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, treasury management, internal controls, and IFRS?
  • We are looking for an experienced Head of Financial Control to lead our finance function and drive financial excellence within a regulated financial institution.
  • The role requires oversight of financial reporting, CBN / NDIC regulatory returns, tax compliance, audit management, loan portfolio accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and executive decision support while ensuring robust internal controls and governance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • ACA / ACCA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years' progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a Microfinance Bank or other financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, CBN and NDIC regulations, tax compliance, financial controls, budgeting, treasury, and audit management.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
